  • Khairi Shahrin Arief Bin Baki

    Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) / Non-Independent Executive Director

    Khairi Shahrin was appointed as CEO of i-VCAP Management Sdn Bhd in January 2018 and bringing with him 14 years of experience in the capital market industry.

    Khairi Shahrin began his career with OSK Investment Bank in 2003 and later held various positions at various institutions which include Maybank Investment Bank, JP Morgan Securities and Citigroup Global Markets. He subsequently served as Senior Director & Head of Equity Dealing, MIDF Amanah Investment Bank prior to his appointment as CEO of i-VCAP.

    En Khairi holds Bachelor of Business Administration from Universiti Putra Malaysia and Diploma in Investment Analysis from the Research Institute of Investment Analysts Malaysia (RIIAM).

  • Syed Mukhrim Syed Mahadzir

    Compliance Officer

    Syed Mukhrim has been registered with the Securities Commission Malaysia as the designated Compliance Officer for i-VCAP Management Sdn. Bhd. since 15 May 2019.

    Syed Mukhrim joined VCAP Asset Managers Sdn. Bhd. (“VCAM”) as Head, Compliance on 9th July 2018, bringing with him more than 10 years of experience as a compliance specialist in the financial services industry. At VCAM, he is responsible for overall regulatory supervision and compliance to regulatory requirements.

    He began his career at Maybank as a Risk & Compliance Executive before moving to RHB Investment Management Sdn. Bhd. as Compliance Officer, where within 2 years he assumed the role of Acting Head, Compliance. Before joining VCAM, he spent more than 5 years as the Head of Compliance at Muamalat Invest Sdn. Bhd., an Islamic fund management company.

    Throughout his career, he has worked in both the conventional and Islamic financial sectors, with extensive experience in the fund management industry covering a diverse range of products including portfolio management, wholesale funds, unit trusts, and private retirement schemes (“PRS”).

    Syed Mukhrim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Universiti Tenaga Nasional. He is registered with the Securities Commission Malaysia as the designated Compliance Officer for VCAM.

  • Mirza Binti Mohamad

    Company Secretary

    Mirza is currently Vice President, Group Legal and Secretarial at Valuecap Sdn. Bhd. having joint the Company since January 2008. She has more than 10 years’ experience in company secretarial practices. Prior to joining Valuecap, she had served Symphony Corporatehouse Sdn. Bhd. (Symphony’s Group) and Double Hope Management Sdn. Bhd. providing the secretarial services to the various industries of Public, Private and Foreign companies.

    Mirza gained Chartered Secretary (ICSA, UK) from Institute Professional Baitulmal, Kuala Lumpur and an Associate Member of the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA).

  • Nazifah Binti Mohd Arshad

    Portfolio Manager

    Nazifah joined i-VCAP in July 2013. She has 9 years working experience in financial and investment industry particularly in research analysis, equity and fixed income fund management.

    She was previously a fund manager at Permodalan BSN Berhad and also served at various institutions such as Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Berhad and Sime Darby Berhad.

    Nazifah graduated with Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Actuarial Science from Universiti Teknologi MARA and a Capital Market Services Representatives License holder.

  • Azah Najwa Abdul Aziz

    Portfolio Manager

    Azah joined i-VCAP Management Sdn. Bhd. In June 2019 from VCAP Asset Managers Sdn. Bhd. (“VCAM”).

    Azah’s introduction to the corporate world was via Ernst & Young as an associate tax consultant. Her specialisation on Fixed Income started when she joined the Treasury and Capital Markets department in Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad as a junior trader, where her main responsibility was to assist in the management of the Bank’s fixed income portfolio to achieve the team’s annual targeted profit, by trading various Ringgit Islamic financial instruments, both sovereign and corporate. She also provided support for the Capital Markets Division on the distribution and sales of various Corporate Bonds, and developed new corporate and institutional client base through intensive marketing efforts.

    She joined RHB Bank Berhad as fixed income trader, specialising in Sovereign Debt Trading. Here, Azah was groomed to trade both conventional and Islamic financial instruments such as Bank Negara Monetary Notes, Government Islamic Issues and Malaysian Government Securities, as well as various Private Debt Securities. She then moved to Ibdar Bank B.S.C, a Bahraini bank which had set up a branch in Kuala Lumpur, as a money market and fixed income dealer in the Treasury division. Here, she managed the bank’s US Dollar liquidity position and acquired new funds and deposits from local financial institutions and other corporate bodies, as well as supporting the Head of Treasury in managing and trading Islamic Dollar bonds with local counterparties. Throughout her practice as a Fixed Income trader, she has experienced a few market cycles that has trained her to evaluate and assess stocks of different credit ratings.

    Prior to joining the Company, Azah was a trader in the Treasury department of local and international banks, which provided a great foundation for making crucial portfolio decisions, meeting deadlines and complying with various requirements that calls for a high level of judgment, commitment and diligence, as well as being able to withstand working and performing under immense pressure.

    Backed by 13 years of experience, Azah was responsible in assisting the team in the money market and fixed income portfolio of a few funds. The team is responsible for managing fixed income portfolios by investing and balancing both sovereign and corporate bond papers of various tenors, ratings and industries based on the given mandates, to achieve the targeted returns.

    Azah graduated with a Diploma in Economics from the University of London, a BA in Economics and Finance from University of Exeter and an MA in Finance and Investment from the University of Nottingham.
